Lancaster Marketplace Winter Ideas: Coming in From the Cold

We’ve definitely had some true winter weather this month!  From snow to ice, it’s that time of year when we need to brave the conditions at times to get out in the midst of wintry weather.   One way to soften the “blow” of winter is to plan for the “warm-up” after coming back in!

Need a warm drink or something hot to eat after being out on a wintery day? The Lancaster Marketplace stands are here to help you warm up!

Open Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and located next to Panera Bread on Fruitville Pike, we have fresh, local, and artisan items that will warm you up when coming in from the cold.

Wintry Warm-up Ideas from the Lancaster Marketplace Stands

We’ve got you covered with warm tea and coffee, loose tea mixes, and soup kits perfect for snacks when coming in from the cold or dinner on a cold night!

Drink Ideas from the Marketplace

Did you know that in addition to warm Stroopies, the Stroopie Co. offers coffee from Lonely Monk Coffee, served piping hot or whole bean for you to take home and prepare?  Yes, they do! As well, at their stand you can get lattes, cafe americano, and more!

The Spice and Tea Exchange has many specialty loose leaf teas to choose from including Sinfully Cherry, Creme Brulee, Berry White, and Bonita Peach Rooibos.  It’s a tea lovers delight to warm up with so many unique tea options!
Interested in a international treat to warm you up?  Flavors of Morocco has freshly brewed Moroccan tea that you can enjoy.  It’s sweet, minty, and a delightful way to beat the winter cold.

Quick Meal Ideas from the Marketplace

Need a quick meal for a cold night? Christina Maser has three different soup kits, Shittake Mushroom, White Bean Chicken Chili, and Warming Chicken Barley.  Each mix requires only a few wet ingredients and assembly, and then you’ll have an amazingly good soup for a cold winter night!

Not ready to take the time to make your own? Call ahead or stop in for takeout from one of our wonderful international stands.  Choose Thai dishes from Ya Ya’s House of Thai, latin cuisine with flair from Flora’s, and savory dishes like Chicken Tagine from Flavors of Morocco.

Top off your hot beverages and meal with tasty desserts and snacks from Tanya’s Pastries (who also has their own special whole bean coffee!), Miesse Candies, Taylor Chip (editable dough as well as cookies...some gluten free!), Lancaster Pickle, and Harvest Lane Farm.

These are just a few of the ways Lancaster Marketplace can help you stay warm this winter! Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Find us with convenient parking next to the Panera Bread on Fruitville Pike.
